Alberta Free Range Whitetail Hunts
I’ve been provided an opportunity to take 2 (3 possible, if in same group) for a late rut hunt in one of the best areas on this earth for fair-chase whitetail deer. The dates for this hunt are Nov. 21-27th. These hunts are conducted from heated elevated blinds in an enormous whitetail area outside of Athabasca, Alberta. Cliff is headed up after the elk season here in CO and will pick arriving hunters up in Edmonton for the drive to camp.
The typical buck harvested is 160″ while roughly 20% of deer score above 170″, some way above. The outfitter hasn’t been hunting the area much the past few years, focusing on his stone sheep area, and that means there are some monster deer in the area. As an added bonus, 20% of hunters end up with the opportunity to harvest a wolf. Hunts are conducted from a comfortable lodge.
